Programs and Initiatives

AfroCariSoul Food Festival is an annual food festival celebrating the blend of African, Caribbean, and African Diasporan cuisines and cultures. It kicked off in Accra, Ghana, at Dawadawa Restaurant on December 23rd, 2021, and has since become a big deal, attracting food lovers and culture buffs from all over.

The second edition of the AfroCariSoul Food Festival is happening at the Efua Sutherland Foundation in Accra on December 21st, 2024. It's going to be packed with fun stuff like cooking competitions, games, art displays, and music performances, all aimed at bringing people together for a good time.

Expect live music from The Characters band and Cavemen to add to the festival's lively vibe. We're all about showcasing the tasty connections between African, Caribbean, and African Diasporan food cultures.

Feed to be Fed is an important part of AfroCariSoul, aimed at addressing food insecurity in Africa, the Caribbean, and particularly in Ghana. This initiative recognizes the pressing need to address hunger and malnutrition, especially in communities where access to nutritious food is limited.

Through "Feed to be Fed," AfroCariSoul is committed to applying sustainable solutions to food insecurity. This includes initiatives such as community gardens, food drives, and partnerships with local farmers and food suppliers to ensure a steady supply of nutritious food to those in need.

By focusing on Ghana and extending its efforts to other regions in Africa and the Caribbean, “Feed To Be Fed” recognizes the importance of addressing food insecurity on both a local and global scale. Through this initiative, the festival aims to make a meaningful impact in easing hunger and promoting food security for all.

The AfroCarisoul Impact Tour is a special program dedicated to bringing practical job training to rural areas in Ghana where such opportunities are scarce. Our aim is to empower people in these communities by giving them skills that can improve their lives and prospects.

During the Impact Tour, we send a team of experienced teachers and trainers to these rural areas. They specialize in various practical skills like cooking, farming techniques, and crafts. Their goal is to teach the residents these skills so they can build better lives for themselves and their families.

Our initiative not only offers hands-on training but also emphasizes the importance of these skills for creating a brighter future. By focusing on practical training, the AfroCarisul Impact Tour addresses the specific needs of each community and helps people become self-sufficient and financially independent.

Through this program, AfroCarisul is committed to making a real difference in the lives of rural Ghanaians, promoting economic empowerment, and opening doors to a better tomorrow.
